Favourite Surf Spot(s): Aramoana, Craps rights, Point X Taranaki, Wainui beach
Best Surf session: Hard to pick just one but probably at point X (above) with super clean pristine glassy conditions and just a few mates out. We got tonnes of waves and had heaps of laughs. Mean day!
Favourite Beginner moment: Every little milestone gets you super stoked as a beginner but probably the first time surfing the face of a wave without falling straight off and getting some speed up. I was absolutely hooked from then on.
Why do you Surf: It’s such an epic feeling riding waves and there’s a fresh experience in almost every wave. But it’s actually probably the anticipation that really gets me going; whether it’s seeing the charts lining up, turning the last bend before the beach or looking down the line while paddling into a nice one, the excitement is immense.
What else is fun: Whanau time, good tunes, good mates.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce. First Aid.
